Description

This FREE continuing education webinar for 1 CE/CPE hour will be presented by IRS Senior Stakeholder Liaison Jody Stamback on October 1, 2019 at 1pm EDT (10am PDT).

Tax Marketing HQ is excited to present a new series of continuing education classes for CPAs, EAs, and tax attorneys, presented directly by IRS personnel. This webinar on the AUR program is the first in this new series.

The IRS collects data from multiple sources in order to automatically identify taxpayers that may be underreporting income on their tax returns. This highly successful enforcement program delivered over 3 million closed underreporter cases in FY18, resulting in $5.3 billion in additional assessments last year alone. In this 1 CE/CPE hour webinar, Jody Stamback of the IRS will walk attendees through how this program operates, what the IRS attempts to achieve, and what practitioners need to know in order to assist their clients with an underreporting issue.

This presentation discusses the process for dealing with the Automated Underreporter Program. It discusses the CP2000 and the best way to respond to those types of notices to ensure you get the issue handled in least amount of time and trouble.
