Event description

Description

Dear CPBP Students,

Please plan to attend the CPBP 2018 Spring Retreat, which will be held on May 18, 2018. The location for our day long retreat will be at the Commons Center on the Vanderbilt University Campus. The retreat provides CPB students and faculty an opportunity to appreciate the breadth of research being conducted in the program.

Attendance at the retreat is required for all CPBP students.

Our Keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Peter Basser, Associate Scientific Director for Imaging, Behavior, and Genomic Integrity within the NICHD’s intramural research program. Dr. Basser is primarily known the invention, development, and clinical implementation of MR diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and several other quantitative MRI methods for performing in vivo MRI histology or "microstructure imaging". Dr. Basser will give our keynote presentation and be in attendance throughout the day to interact with students and faculty.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s CPBP retreat!

On behalf of the planning committee,

Corey Hayford
