Come to discover your choices in education and your possibilities in a profession with education expertscareer counsellors, senior professionals, and top students! We are delighted to inform you that our 10th CPAC Education Day will be held on March 2, 2019 at Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Dr, Scarborough, ON M1P 4N7. The theme of this year's Education Day is: Discover Your Possibilities.


CPAC’s Education Day helps immigrant families understand the education system in North America and helps to prepare current and future students for their academic future. The event guides parents to make informed decisions through the help of experienced speakers and panel discussions.


The 10th CPAC Education Day Features:

 Keynote presentation

Discover Your Possibilities  

Keynote speaker: Simu Liu, a Canadian Screen Award-nominated actor, writer and producer best known for his role as Jung on the hit CBC comedy Kim's Convenience. He produces award-winning original content through his production company 4:12 Entertainment, named after the day he was laid off from his job as an accountant.

Scholarship Presentations & Panel

Be inspired by students who have achieved academic excellence and demonstrated community leadership

Three breakout session seminars

         1. Discover the Canadian School System

Public vs. Private, English vs. French Immersion, Gifted, TOPS, IB, AP or STEM. Panel of teacher, parent & student in English and Mandarin

 2. Discover Your Choices in Education
 High School Course Selection and University Selection. By high school teacher & career counsellor in Mandarin 

        3. Discover Your Possibilities in A Profession
             Doctor, Lawyer, Accountant, or Marketer?  Panel of senior professionals in these fields in English

Pre-registration required for each workshop as seats are limited.

Free parking is available at the City of Toronto Employ Parking (Upper Level). If you want to take public transit, the event venue is conveniently located near Scarborough Centre subway station.

CPAC Foundation

About CPAC Foundation


The CPAC Foundation is founded in 1999 and is a registered charity that raises funds in support of CPAC’s work within the immigrant community. The CPAC Foundation also has its own education related initiatives.


The Foundation continues to support CPAC in carrying out its mission of helping internationally trained professionals and tradespeople to obtain licenses, find jobs, advance their careers, develop leadership skills, and integrate into Canadian society.


For its own initiatives, the Foundation organizes activities that provide educational information to parents and students. It also provides scholarships and bursaries to secondary and post-secondary students who have demonstrated social responsibility and a determination to pursue academic excellence.


Since 2000, the CPAC Foundation has given out more than 224 scholarships and bursaries with a total value of $278,000. It has also built two schools in poverty and disaster stricken areas in China.
