Event description

Description

In these troubled times, we need each other more than ever. Traditional wisdom teaches that people become ill in service to the community, taking on the imbalances themselves to save others from having to suffer. Therefore, we all need to contribute to their healing, for where would be we, if not for them. How do we do that? Traditional cultures had ceremonies to restore harmony and balance. These ceremonies enacted the traditional stories, involving the entire community. In this workshop, we will explore how to bring these ideas into the modern world with the construction of ritual, with storytelling, with ways to engage our creativity in helping each other, and in forming stronger communities that nurture all of us.

Join Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona and Barbara Mainguy as they guide us through a process of discovery and healing over two special days this spring. We feel very fortunate to have them here in Seattle for a rare trip to the west coast. This workshop promises to be a transformative and memorable sharing of wisdom, warmth and wonder. Please join us as we celebrate and create soulful community together!
