COVID-19 Mutations and You
Event Information
About this Event
The new variants are scary. Yes, variants plural. Variants have emerged in Britain, South Africa, Brazil, and now in Southern California. The evidence so far indicates that they are much more infectious than the Italian strain, which has been circulating here since February.
At this event we will answer your questions about the new COVID-19 mutations by a distinguished group of scientist and community leaders:
Isabel Bjork / Executive Director, UCSC Genomics Institute will moderate the panel. Isabel was named 2020 Hometown Hero.
We welcome questions from the live audience during the event. If you have questions you would like to submit to the panelists in advance, let us know: My Questions
Brought to you by UCSC Baskin School of Engineering, UCSC Genomics Institute, Salud Para La Gente, SC County Public Health, and Santa Cruz Works.
