Join us Friday, May 24th!
You're invited to a silent art auction curated by The Brigade & Deweywood to raise funds to bring interactive learning to James John Elementary. We asked our favorite artists to pay homage to their favorite album cover on a 12x12 bamboo panel. We will have 20+ covers up for auction from The Pixes to Hank Williams.

Where the money goes
The funds raised will be used to put iPads in the classrooms of James John Elementary School in St Johns. The use of iPads in the classroom gives educators another tool to use, in a multitude of ways. Budget cuts have left James John without a music and art program. Teachers are searching for new and innovative ways to bring the arts into the classroom, and the iPad offers a unique platform. Sam Leach, a third grade teacher at James John, asked the question, "what does learning sound like?" Sam, like many other teachers at James John is a musician, and uses the iPad to showcase famous artists and play music for his class. Sam adds that the iPad has proven to enhance students learning experiences, from skill development with real time feedback, to deepening conceptual understanding all in a intuitive interface that sparks the imagination
