About Couples Camp

In our years of running Leadership Camps, we have heard again and again from attendees who get so much from the experience, they can’t wait to send their significant others, their executive team colleagues, or their co-founders to Camp. They discover quickly that almost everything we're teaching at Leadership Camp is as relevant to personal relationships as it is to leadership at work.

So we decided go all in on this idea, creating a couples retreat in Camp form that brings conscious awareness and communication to romantic, professional, familial, past, potential, or any other type of relationship.

Conscious Couples Camp is an opportunity to dramatically improve and enhance your personal relationship leveraging the principles of Conscious Leadership. Bring more authenticity and vulnerability to your partnership, and take a new look at your individual and joint “operating systems” with an eye to clarify expectations, revise your conscious or unconscious patterns into clean agreements, and clear the decks of recycling issues using new tools for cultivating intentional conflict that brings you closer to each other. Facilitated by Sue Heilbronner and her partner, Dennis Adsit.

One of our recent attendees described camp this way: “Camp is a unique opportunity to dig deep into yourself in a supportive and safe environment. Gaining this understanding paired with conscious leadership concepts allows you to create new possibilities in your personal and professional life, through clearer communication, context, and vision.”

This two-day couples retreat is for partners or singles of any kind who are looking to build or dramatically improve or amplify their partnerships and want the tools to make their dream pairing a reality. If you're working on a company, a marriage, parenting, a close friendship, or working to be in a relationship, you and your "other(s)" will benefit enormously from Camp.

What Camp is All About

Couples Camp introduces core concepts and applications of Conscious Leadership that will kickstart an immediate improvement in intimacy, listening, engagement, communication, conflict resolution, and candor in your key relationships:

We help people, couples and business partners:

  • Spot their personality patterns and blind spots

  • Build skills and tools for embracing and working through conflict

  • Develop tools for bringing more candor into your relationships, which supports intimate, revealed conversations and enduring relationships

  • Increase your skills as a present, conscious listener

  • Play more and have more fun together

We'll be covering these topics:

  • What are the beliefs and patterns that keep us from having the relationships we most want?

  • How can we listen consciously and better manage conflicts?

  • How can we get our relationship (or your pattern of avoiding one) unstuck?

  • How can we take our relationship to the next level of intimacy, candor, creativity, effectiveness, and joy?

  • How can we get true alignment?

  • How can we create the partnership we most want?

Why is Couples Camp Called “Camp”?

Well, we like immersive programming that feels like camp: rich, connected, experiential, intense, fun, transformative.

What Else Should I Know About Camp?

Couples Camp is an emotionally intense, introspective experience. We will be working to uncover often lifelong patterns that can get in the way unconsciously. One thing we notice is that most of these patterns have deep and meaningful emotional connections. Couples Camp helps attendees explore their emotional substructure in a way that may feel direct and intense.

You will have full control over what you choose to share, but assume others will be sharing intimate and revealing information from which the entire group can learn. Be prepared for charged discussions. We believe noticing, naming and welcoming our patterns in a trusted group is key to creating transformation and reducing drama.

If you've been waiting for a chance to deepen your self-awareness and connection in current or desired relationships, this couples retreat is for you.

What is the refund policy?

You will receive a full refund less $25 of administrative expense if you cancel 45 days prior to the start of camp. You will receive a 50% refund if you cancel between 44 - 21 days prior to the start of camp. As of 20 days prior to the start of camp, your registration will be non-refundable, and you will be given the option of attending a future camp if a future camp is scheduled.
