-----------------------

Trey Taylor is the youngest African-American in country music history. The Denver Post wrote “It's impossible to miss his enthusiasm...Trey Taylor could stand toe to toe with any of the pop, country or even rap contemporaries of his generation and give each of them a good run for their money, a fact that hasn't been lost on audiences across the world. They've embraced his singular style wholeheartedly, a warm reception that's helped guide this charming, charismatic force of nature on his creative path."

Born in Colorado to a single mother, Trey had an instant attraction to music and at 3 sang word by word to Disney sing-a-long songs. Trey longed for his musical identity and soon found it when he saw Dolly Parton sing on television and was drawn to her unique style of country music. He begged his mother for banjo lessons and began playing the banjo and Appalachian dulcimer fluently, but it took Trey until age 13 to accidentally flip onto a Glen Campbell PBS TV special that completed his musical journey. He was entranced by Glen’s virtuoso guitar playing and became determined to mimic Campbell, resulting in Trey becoming a very impressive guitarist by the age of fifteen.

On his sixteenth birthday, Trey immediately applied for a job as a Walmart cashier. He saved all of his checks to subsidize his first recording session and recorded his first single in 2015 titled “Back on My Mind Again”. The single gained the attention of multiple producers across the world, notably Dolly Parton’s producer, Kent Wells, who quickly signed Trey onto his official record label, Go Time Records (GTRNashville.com).

Trey has been blessed to form friendships with some of the largest names in show business such as Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap, Wynonna Judd, Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker, The Oak Ridge Boys and many more including his hero and idol, the best selling female country artist of all time, the legendary Dolly Parton. Trey also donates his time to touring the country with conservative candidates like President Trump while also selling out venues around the nation.

Though he has achieved illustrious success at his very young age, He makes it a point to maintain humility and focus in an unpredictable industry and line of work. “I have never taken a sip of alcohol or inhaled a cigarette or drug in my entire life and I went to public school in Colorado! I’ve never been careless with my money or taken my blessings and achievements for granted. God has given me a gift and it humbles me to think of just how important it is to hold fast to the right and to be true to myself, my art, and my fans."

Bret Richards is a businessman, veteran, and conservative outsider running for Congress in Iowa's Fourth District. Bret got in this race because it’s time to break the stranglehold career politicians have on this country. It’s time that Iowans send someone to Congress just as dependable, honest, and dedicated to getting the job done as your neighbor. Someone outside of the political class — uninitiated in the ways of Washington — who will stand up for the people, even when the special interests fight back.

President Trump doesn’t need just another Republican from the farm league of politics, hand-picked by DC or Des Moines insiders. He needs people who care more about their country more than a career in politics. Iowans who are committed conservatives and will serve as reinforcements to drain the DC swamp. Even more, we can’t afford to lose this seat and let all of Iowa turn blue.

As CEO of Country Stores, Bret Richards ran a family business that employed 300 people across western Iowa. As board chair of the Manning Regional Healthcare Center, he ensures that critical medical needs are met in rural America. And as a combat engineer officer stationed overseas, he brought seasoned soldiers together and led them towards common objectives.

In every aspect of his life, Bret has taken the understanding, values, and life lessons gained to the next task at hand. Politics was never meant to be a career; Washington needs more citizen legislators as the Founding Fathers intended.
