Program Content:

ADHD is a common disorder that impacts the lives of many youth today. ADHD impacts all aspects of their lives. It is imperative that counselors/therapist are able to provide counseling to youth with ADHD in a compassionate, understanding manner that is effective in addressing the deficits and struggles in their life by building up the skills and the skills of their caretakers.


Objectives:

Review ADHD diagnosis and the impact of ADHD

Discuss the ADHD Iceberg concept

Discuss common negative experiences of youth from ADHD symptoms

Become familiar with effective interventions for adolescents and their parents

Refund and Cancellation policy:

Refunds will not be provided to registrants unless the training is cancelled by the agency. In the event a registrant cannot attend a training already paid for a substitute participant may be designated in place of a registrant who cannot attend or the registrant may apply the funds to a future training. BECT Services LLC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, to limit registration; or to change instructors.

Other professionals: This course meets the continuing education clock hours as required by many national, state, and local licensing boards and professional organizations.
