Description

"Transgender" is an umbrella term for people whose gender identity and/or gender expression differs from what is typically associated with the sex they were assigned at birth. In an interactive workshop format, participants will explore a best practices approach to counseling transgender students and their families. Participants will be have the opportunity to integrate case material, didactic information, and their own experiences. This professional development event is the first of a series of evening professional development events sponsored by the Dade Association of School Psychologists and Nova Southeastern University. Presentation will be delivered by Peter M. Caproni, Ph.D. and Melissa R. Koniver, M.S.

Are there requirements to enter the event?

Participants should be practicing clinicians or students of the mental health field. Three CEU's will be awarded to licensed School Psychologists and licensed Clinical Psychologists upon successful completion of this workshop .
