Learn how to prepare and sell foods to the public under Michigan's Cottage Food Law!

This three-part Hackshop combines the business and food safety aspects of preparing and selling cottage foods safely and successfully. Michigan Cottage Food Law allows residents to manufacture foods in home kitchens and store those products at home.

Topics include preparing, packing, labeling, storing, and transporting cottage foods.

  • March 12 - "What Are Cottage Foods?"
  • March 19 - "Create, Package & Design Product"
  • March 26 - "Economics, Cost, & Label Product"

At the end of this series, you'll take home a certification in Michigan Cottage Food Laws, and complete one sample product!
