When: Tuesday 10/22 and Thursday 10/24 evening - 6-9pm & Saturday 10/26 afternoon from 12-3pm


In this 3 day hands on workshop come learn the techniques and build your zombie character. We will cover three areas, makeup, building prosthetics and costume. We will be sculpting and molding wounds for your Zombie look as well as take clothing that you provide and "zombify" them. On Saturday 10/26, we will pull your zombie look together and you can participate in all the spooky programming at JUMP. Include the Zombie Walk, a Thriller Flash dance and the Fright Night Silent Disco! See you there!



Where: JUMP Make Studio on the 5th floor, take a left out of the elevators. Please note, August 24th we will plan to meet in the Annex, located next to the JUMP building on Borah and Myrtle Streets. Please use the parking lot entrance. Feel free to email programs@jumpboise.org with questions.

What to Expect: This workshop will be all about Zombies. The 3 day hands on workshop will include using clay, silicone and latex to create realistic wounds for your zombie look. We will be teaching techniques and using makeup to create bruising and decay. We will be using scissors, hot glue and sewing to transform your clothing into a rotting zombie.

Amanda is a costume designer and fashion designer. Her passion is making visual wearable art, that expresses the emotion and personality of the wearer/character. Amanda has done 2 fashion shows, hosted several costume contests, done about a dozen photoshoots displaying her work, has worked on several movie projects, with more to come, was in the May/June issue of Greenbelt magazine, and has even created some outfits for a celebrities wife, all in a very short time.

What inspires you?

Amanda gets her inspiration by everyday life, and the visions from her dreams.

Mark is a costume builder and local business owner of, The Reveal, a year around costume shop located in Boise. He has been the primary consultant and costume judge for many comic cons and comic related costume events in Idaho. He has been involved in the halloween industry for over 15 years building props and running seasonal halloween stores. Mark and his wife moved to boise in 2000 and are from Pocatello. Mark is the Prop Master for the current film “Making Sense"

What is JUMP?

JUMP – or Jack’s Urban Meeting Place – is a not-for-profit, interactive creative center and community gathering place in the heart of downtown Boise. Please go to jumpboise.org to learn more and join our newsletter so you are in the know on fun, spontaneous happenings at JUMP.

JUMP is a dynamic and innovate space that is not suitable for unattended children, please monitor your children and be thoughtful of their safety at all times.


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

You may bus, bike, drive, walk, skip, etc. Check Boise's bus schedule at www.valleyride.org. We love bikers and have beautiful bike racks to secure your ride. If you plan to drive, paid parking is available in Simplot's below ground parking garage, which is accessible from Myrtle Street between 11th and 9th Street. Please note, Simplot's below ground parking garage is only available after 4pm until 6am on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Apologies, the JUMP parking garage is currently under construction.


Do you have accommodations for people with disabilities?

Absolutely. We support the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and encourage participation by everyone. What is the refund policy?

We depend on your enrollment for a successful class so please plan your schedule carefully. Classes which do not meet minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation. Refunds are issued in full if the class or program is cancelled, if you cancel at least seven days before the starting date of the class, or for documented medical reasons. Please email programs@jumpboise.org to request a refund.
