Description

COST's 2018 Legislative & Regulatory Update provides mayors, selectmen, town managers and municipal officials with the opportunity to learn about new state laws and regulations affecting municipalities. This year's conference will focus on new Environmental & Land Use laws affecting towns, including:

  • Overview of new state Zoning & Land Use laws;

  • DEEP's MS4 Stormwater General Permit - Year 2 Compliance

  • Stormwater Management Resources Available to Towns

  • CT's Land Banking Law - Helping Towns Address Brownfields

  • Addressing Dead & Decaying Trees in our Communities

  • CT's new Climate Change law and how it will impact local planning

  • Building Municipal Resilience and Climate Adaptation

  • Update on Sustainable Connecticut

The event is scheduled for October 23 at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, CT in the Glass Room. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the formal program will run from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

There is a one-time registration fee for all attendees which includes a continental breakfast and buffet lunch.

  • COST Town Members - $50; COST Associate Members - $75; COST Non-members - $100
