Costa Mesa Family Resource Center Food Distributions Signup
Sat, Apr 1, 2017, 1:00 PM
As a collaboration with the Second Harvest Food Bank, The Raise Foundation provides food distribution opportunities to families-in-need throughout Orange County. Starting summer 2016, The Raise Foundation, in collaboration with Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim, began offering Food Distributions at the Club's newly renovated Clubhouse located at the Manzanita Community Park. The distributions, which are provided as part of The Raise Foundation's Resources in Motion Program (RIM), will take place on the 4th Saturday of the month and have so far served over 100 families. In addition, The Raise Foundation, in collaboration with Hoag Hospital, offers Food Distributions at the Costa Mesa Family Resource Center on the 1st Saturday of the month.
A special thank you goes out to the Junior League of Orange County, Roosters Club members and the many other community volunteers for their volunteer assistance with past distributions.
More volunteers are needed to help for future Food Distributions with preparing bags of healthy food and leading children in fun craft activities. It has been shown that one of the many risk factors that can lead to child abuse and neglect is when families dont have the right nutrition or enough food to sustain them. Your help provides families in need with this critical support.
Due the limited space, we ask that all interested volunteers register using this form.
