Description

COST's Stormwater Management Workshop is designed to provide towns covered by the MS4 General Permit with the tools and guidance needed to comply with stormwater management requirements in 2019 and 2020, including:

  • Implementing a Public Education Program;
  • Developing a written Illicit Discharge Detection & Elimination program and establishing legal authority;
  • Developing and implementing an employee training program;
  • Implementing a long-term maintenance plan for retention/detention basins and stormwater treatment structures;
  • Developing a plan to identify/prioritize retrofit projects to disconnect impervious cover

Towns are required to comply with the extensive guidelines above and more. Attendees will also hear from other towns about how they are addressing these issues, the obstacles they face, and tips on how to comply moving forward.

The event is scheduled for October 22, 2019, in the Glass Room of the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, CT. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the formal program will run from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

There is a one-time registration fee for all attendees with an included continental breakfast and buffet lunch.
