December 10, 2016, COSEBOC will host a day long Gathering in Boston MA for Parents and Families on "Trauma in the Village." This special gathering will provide a safe space for the Village of Parents to share, converse, strategize and render solutions that will aid in the healing process.

Open to parents and children living in the greater Boston Area.
What to Expect
Families and children will participate in a series on engaging session focused on coping with trauma, loss and grief
Sessions will be facilitated by a host of clinicians, community professionals and community leaders whom are knowledgeable about trauma informed care
Sessions will include activities for children, using Yoga, Art & Spoken Word Modules
A special conversation will be facilitated by parents who have lost a child to a traumatic event
There is no cost for this Gathering, but registration is required
Morning coffee, lunch & afternoon snacks will be provided

The mission of the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color (COSEBOC) is to connect, inspire, support and strengthen school leaders dedicated to the social, emotional and academic development of boys and young men of color.
COSEBOC is the only national education organization of practitioners solely focused on promoting the educational success of boys and young men of color. COSEBOC works with all schools – preK-12th grade; public, charter and private; coed and single gender. COSEBOC connects research, policy and practice and is a learning community for school leaders.
