Corn This Way: The Nebraska LGBTQ+ Emerging Leaders Summit
Corn This Way is a one-day leadership summit for LGBTQ+ young people (age 24 and under) and Gay-Straight Alliance advisers, teachers and mentors from across Nebraska. There will be program tracks for:
- Students in middle school, high school and colleges GSAs
- Post-graduate/young professionals
- GSA advisors, teachers and mentors
The summit will feature plenary presentations, breakout sessions, a resource and opportunity fair, and a speed dialogue. It will be a day of education, empowerment, and leadership development.
Registration for the conference will be tiered, or divided, into two rounds to maximize representation in all age groups and from communities across the state.
Round 1 - February 22 to March 31 - 85% of total slots will be divided as follows:
- 25% (39) Middle & High School Students
- 25% (39) College Students
- 30% (47) Post-Grad/Young Professionals
- 20% (31) GSA Advisor/Teacher
Round 2 - April 1 to May 1 - Open to everyone who didn't make it in Round 1.
The registration fee is $20 per person. A limited amount of Summit Scholarships are available for those needing full or partial financial assistanct. If you are able to make even a small partial payment, it will make it possible for us to help as many people as possible attend the summit.
