Louisiana Jason Project STEM Training
Connecting Students and Teachers to Real Scientists

This project is funded by the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF) and provides science educators in 40 southern Louisiana districts the opportunity to become JASON Teachers through a project provides FREE training on integrating JASON’s award-winning science content and resources into classrooms and provides FREE access for teachers and students to JASON’s digital resources. Attend any of these FREE JASON Teacher Training sessions to learn how to use JASON's curriculum with your science students. Each session will cover one topic of JASON's curricula and include: Hands-on experiments, Web site navigation, exploring standards, registering students, managing assessments and lesson plan, etc.

JASON’s Teacher Training sessions will be offered this fall. During each session, teachers will be exposed to JASON curricula and will learn how to:

  • Use JASON resources and navigate the Web site
  • Integrate JASON into standards-based science instruction
  • Match JASON’s resources to pacing guides and curriculum calendars

JASON’s award-winning, comprehensive instructional and learning resources:

  • Inspire students through deep connections to STEM role models
  • Are available as interactive online versions as well as print options
  • Fit within school districts' core curricula
  • Adapt to higher and lower levels
  • Align to state and national standards
  • Include articles, hands-on lab activities, videos, games / digital labs, and other multimedia resources
  • Include customizable lesson plans, extensions, interdisciplinary connections, and other teacher resources for alignment, assessment and more
