Cordyceps mushrooms are becoming more popular in North America as more research comes out on its pharmacological activity. At this time North American Cordyceps Cultivation is focused on mycelium production for powders and capsules. There is currently a demand for Cordyceps Fruit bodies in North America. As more individuals begin to source their more of their products locally there will be a demand for locally grown Cordyceps.
Over the past 2 years we have been working succesfully on Developing a Pennsylvanian Cordyceps militaris strain for Commercial Cultivation. Interestingly enough, you don'y need insects to grow cordyceps, they will grow on common wastes, producing a valuable product. Cordyceps farms in Southern Asia have proven this to be a successful/sustainable venture. With simple understanding anyone can grow Cordyceps, Cordyceps militaris farms will provide communites with another Ecologically Regenerative Sustainable Micro Industry.
