About this event

Sessions will feature food demonstrations and tastings, providing you with practical skills and delicious recipes to incorporate into your daily life.

Class Format: All classes are offered in person; however, you may also choose to join us via Zoom (online).

In-Person Locations: In-person classes will be held at the UF/IFAS Extension offices in Leon, Gadsden, and Calhoun counties. Please register with the office where you plan to attend or the county of your residency.

After participating in this series, you should:

  • Increase your understanding of healthy eating concepts and health benefits associated with the Mediterranean-style eating pattern
  • Increase your confidence in selecting, planning, preparing, and implementing a healthy, regular eating pattern
  • Increase your understanding and implementation of mindful eating strategies

Curriculum: This series is based on the "Med Instead of Meds" curriculum, developed by NC State University, which emphasizes the benefits of the Mediterranean diet for long-term health and wellness.
