Join Maggie Battista at the Cooking Sessions on Saturday, February 18, 2017 for an afternoon of learning about the coolest new pantry staples and how to use them in your daily cooking. Maggie will teach you how to make or use each staple, and you’ll bake up some of the recipes below. The afternoon includes soup, snacks, and refreshment and we’ll pack up little jars and bags to take home - that’s if we don’t eat it all first! Together, we’ll make dishes using these new pantry staples:

  • Plant milk in Overnight Oat Jars

  • Maple sugar in Pecan Poppy Seed Biscotti

  • Coconut butter in Cranberry Orange Scones

  • Dried mushroom powder in Faux Pho Soup Jars

  • Crispy shallots and shallot oil to top our Faux Pho Soup Jars

Space is limited to six people, and you’ll get the address to my home in Lynnfield, Massachusetts (12 miles north of Boston) when you sign up.

You’ll take away:

  • Homemade shallot oil

  • Dried mushroom powder

  • Printed recipes

  • New friends, naturally

Classes are not gluten-free, though we’ll try to accommodate most food allergies for lunch and snacks. Should you not be able to attend the class after signing up, you receive a 75% refund up to 2 weeks before the class. If you can not attend and need to cancel within 2 weeks of the class, you’re welcome to send a friend in your place. After the class fills, any open spots will be announced on Instagram (@mizmaggieb) and filled at a first come first serve basis. Additional classes may be added depending on demand. Keep an eye out!

Class may be cancelled at anytime for any reason, but a full refund will be provided in the event of that happening. We will do our best to accommodate the whims of Mother Nature, but cannot provide a refund for those who miss class due to inclement weather.
