Cooking In Hebrew - Kingston Canada
Event Information
Description
You are invited to join us for a new hands-on culinary adventure called "Cooking in Hebrew” for English speakers.
This unique workshop, sponsored by the Kingston Jewish Council, the Canadian Zionist Federation and World Zionist Organization Department for Diaspora Activities, will be led by Aaron Grosz.
Aaron grew up immersed in Jewish education & traditions, with a love for Israeli culture & the Hebrew language. Being raised with traditional Ashkenazi cuisine, he sought to expand his culinary horizons. After traveling to Israel, he studied Culinary Management at St. Lawrence College and has been involved in the food industry in Kingston and San Francisco for 15 years. He loves the uniqueness of Israeli food, combining high-quality fresh ingredients with the unique flavors from the many cultures that make up the culinary fabric of the Land of Israel. Aaron is excited to facilitate this new event, "Cooking up in Hebrew” - Mevashlim B’Ivrit.
The workshop includes 3 sessions. Each session will be focusing on a different theme that correlates with the Jewish/Israeli calendar. We will spend time together, chat, tell stories, share memories and cook delicious recipes related to the monthly theme. At the end of each session, we will sit around the table and feast!
The first session will be on Sunday, October 21st, from 5-8pm at Beth Israel 116 Centre Street Kingston
The second session will be on Sunday, November 25th, 2018
The third session will be on Sunday, January 20th, 2019
Cost: $ 15 per session
