Cooking Class: Indian Celebration

Add Indian to your home cooking prowess with this hands-on class, falling a couple weeks after Holi, the festival of colours marking winter's end and spring's new life. Learn to build your own celebratory meal with luxurious leavened naan, cooling raita, and fabled saffron.
Students will learn recipes and techniques for these Indian classics:
- Shrimp Curry
- Buttered Naan
- Cucumber Raita
- Saffron Pulao (pilaf) with Peas
- Iced Chai
Celebrate in the most flavorful way and learn one of the world's great cuisines for your home-cooking enjoyment.
About the teacher: Ronak Patel is the owner, chef, and instructor of his own private dining company, Chef Ronak. He attended Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and has worked for numerous catering companies including Chef Daniel Private Dining, Creme Catering, and Gourmet Gorilla. His affection for local food and healthy eating shows in his additional work at the Peterson Garden Project Community Cooking School, Purple Asparagus, Sugar Beet Food Co-op in Oak Park, and Cook, Cork and Fork in Palatine.
Refund/cancellation policy: A full refund will be provided for cancellations requests received from customers up to one week (seven days) before the event. No refund or store credit will be provided for cancellation requests received less than a week before the event.
