Cooking Class: Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
Fri, May 5, 2017, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM CDT
Chicagoans are no strangers to stellar Mexican food. We can grab mouthwatering tacos at taqerias all over town and fine-tuned plates of carne asada, polle en mole negro, or flavor-packed pozole at restaurants spanning from fine dining to neighborhood gems.
In this hands-on class, learn to bring the taqueria home with this feast fit for a crowd on Cinco de Mayo or any day of the year.
- Fresh Corn Tortillas
- Chicken Enchilades Verde
- Pico de Gallo
Skills covered: making fresh tortillas, working with masa harina; knife skills (chopping, slicing, dicing, and more); making fresh salsas; understanding avocados.
We are BYOB, so feel free to bring along a cerveza!
