Event description

From the moment the fresh island air hits your face you’ll feel at home in the Cook Islands. With water so clear you don’t need goggles, where the sun sets over the coral filled seas and palms dangle over the turquoise lagoons, photo opportunities are endless…if you’re into postcard scenes and tropical islands!

The Cook Islands are paradise.

Join me for 7 days photographing these Pacific wonders with three nights on Rarotonga and three nights on the
idyllic island of Aitutaki.

- Aitutaki Lagoon Private Charter
- One Foot Island
- Muri Beach Lagoon
- Maina Island
- 4WD Adventure to Rarotonga’s Hinterland Rainforest
- Kayaking on Aitutaki + Muri Lagoons
- Astrophotography under the palms
- Glamping in Rarotonga
- Shooting sunrise over the sea
- Water Clarity!

The Details
This workshop is seven days of underwater and landscape photography. We’ll explore the lagoons, culture and scenery of both Rarotonga and Aitutaki ensuring you leave the islands with a collection of tropical images you’re proud as punch to share.
As a small group we’ll make use of bicycles, boats and kayaks to venture around the islands capturing candid shots of the lifestyle then jumping in the lagoons to photograph the underwater world.

Group Size
Numbers will be restricted to 6 participants to ensure a comfortable trip and lots of time for one on one photography tuition.

Photography Skill Level
This workshop is for anyone keen to get into underwater photography or who wants to learn some new landscape techniques. Beginners are more than welcome or if you’ve got some experience in photography you’re of course invited to come along too. I’m a big believer that photography is not all about the gear but in how you see the world so even if you don’t have a big bag of lenses, come along with whatever you’re comfortable shooting with.

Trip Style
Most of our time will be spent outdoors either under the palms or out on the lagoon. If you’re the type of person that likes to be inside on your holidays, this probably isn’t the trip for you. We’ll be soaking up the sunshine, wandering through rainforests and cruising on bicycles past colourful houses and plantations.

It’s a relaxed tour so while we will have activities and shoot locations planned, if you wanted to just chill on the beach you’re of course welcome to do so! I’ve arranged somewhere pretty special for our time on Rarotonga, if you’ve never been glamping before you’re in for a treat! All rooms are just like any hotel room but are within a safari quality tent with a dreamy outdoor bathroom where you can shower under the stars in complete privacy!

On Aitutaki we’ll be based in bungalows by the water!
