Conversations with Nature
by Albie Alexander
at Brickell City Centre
December 5th-7th, 11am-7pm
December 8th, 12pm-7pm
As temperatures rise and nature responds to our increasingly brutal treatment, the future of our planet as we know it is uncertain. Throughout history, the natural world has cradled our existence and has been our greatest healer and provider. And so as we face the beginning of a climate and environmental crisis unlike anything we’ve seen, it casts a new light on our relationship with nature and what transformational action must be taken to save the planet. With our modern lives shifting dramatically indoors, nature itself is more often perceived as something to be observed and looked at when in fact it is an intrinsic part of us.
Conversations with Nature curated by Albie Alexander examines our deep connection with the natural world through introspective experiences that invite you to engage in a deep dialogue with the environment. Themes of activism and healing permeate the exhibition, which explores resonances of mindfulness in an effort to develop new understandings of ourselves and achieve new visions of the future we want. Over the course of four days, a series of installations and happenings invite you to experience our interconnectedness with each other and with Earth as a pathway to inspire positive action in the fight against climate change
