Conversations with a Killer
Event Information
Description
Conversations with a Killer is a dark, satirical look at the sinister underbelly of the art world. In a New York restaurant, Roland Wade is waiting for his dinner guests to arrive. Roland's new to the art game, and he's got a few questions. His friends are coming to help - or at least, that's what they've told Roland. But something’s wrong. As the shadows lengthen and the night draws in, their conversations turn darker and more dangerous. What is art? What's it for? Who controls it? And most importantly, why do the dinner guests keep dying?
In a scathing parody of the uber-rich, Conversations with a Killer looks at the volatile and political climate in which we’re creating art today. Visceral, fast-paced, and playful, it pushes form, plays with the pressure of expectation, and asks the uncomfortable question of just what happens when we let our art fall into the wrong hands.
