Event description

Description

Each year, amazing new innovations and forward thinking trends emerge from SXSW event presentations and identify where we are on a global scale and where we are potentially headed. From the advancement and implementation of AI and technology based solutions to the push for greater workplace diversity and inclusion ~ so many events- yet no one has the time to get to every presentation or participate in every event- so let's continue the conversations and connections....

The diversity of ideas creates previously unimagined opportunities like the exploration of the potential of AI in the fashion industry, blockchain technology’s impact on the arts, or how individual and collective community empowerment creates lasting positive social change. We live in an age where creative and innovative minds can come together and engage in creative conversations and connections around education, tech, entertainment and culture. Deep dialogue and interaction between individuals can increase our ability to innovate and expand.

This Free event sponsored by Vetted Foundation and W2O is perfect for innovators, veterans, college students, entrepreneurs, business and community leaders.

Bring plenty of business cards for networking and a raffle.

5:30 - 6:00pm: Networking and Happy Hour

6:00 - 6:45pm: Panel Discussion followed by Q&A

6:45 - 7:00pm: Continue the conversation.....and raffle prizes!

This is a live in-person event for our local Austin/Central Texas community AND a livestream event for our national VETTED community.

Scott Van Valkenburgh, CMO, Ploom Style Inc.

After beginning his career at Intel Corporation, where he, literally, answered one of the very first IP phone calls, Scott has spent just under 20 years in Management Consulting in both Silicon Valley and Austin, helping mostly start-ups with their marketing needs. He’s started or bought and sold three of his own companies, and currently splits his time between consulting and his latest venture, Ploom, which uses a proprietary form of Artificial Intelligence to provide online women’s fashion advice, then finds clothes based on the advice — essentially automating a salesperson in the largest worldwide e-commerce category, apparel.
