Tim Pawlenty is president and CEO of Financial Services Roundtable, a Washington, D.C.-based industry advocacy group. He was a Republican politician who served as the 39th Governor of Minnesota (2003–2011). He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives (1993–2003), where he was majority leader for two terms. In 2011 he entered the campaign for the Republican presidential nomination and later was a potential vice presidential nominee before serving as co-chair of Mitt Romney's campaign. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in political science and a J.D.
Steve Sviggum served in the Minnesota State Legislature for 29 years. He served as House Minority Leader from 1993 to 1998 and later as Speaker of the House from 1999 to 2007. In July of 2007, he assumed his new role as commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, and later took over as Commissioner of the Minnesota Management and Budget Office. Steve has also been an adjunct professor and Legislative Fellow at the Humphrey School of the University of Minnesota, teaching classes and leading practicums for students.
