Want to learn Hebrew while eating out?

This 4 session Conversation Tutorial is an entry level Hebrew course designed around the theme of Dining Out.

Read a menu
Place your order
Customize your order with specific ingredients

Classes meet on location, in coffee shops, ice cream parlours and restaurants so that participants gain an authentic and relevant language experience. Each meeting will focus on a different type of food/drink, culminating with a full course meal, complete with waiter service (all in Hebrew)!

DATES: Mondays August 5, 12, 19, 26 (class descriptions below)

TIME: 7:00-8:00 PM

LOCATION: Convenient to the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

COST: Full 4 Session Module is $180 Special Introductory Rate (Regular $260)

Individual sessions are $45 each* Special Introductory Rate (*$60 for the dinner session if purchased separately)

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

4 one hour classes, Hebrew language lesson, small group size of up to 6 students, personalized guidance of 2 instructors, a light refreshment at each venue and final dinner celebration

Even if you have never spoken Hebrew before, you will walk away with

key phrases that you can use in most dining situations
an introduction to basic Hebrew grammar and sentence structure
a user friendly guide to the Hebrew alphabet for beginning Hebrew readers

SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

8/5 Coffee/Tea

Learn how to order tea & coffee, discuss likes and dislikes, and get a sense of basic grammar structure. This session meets at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, 86th Street and Amsterdam (lower level).

8/12 SCREME GELATO

Learn to order gelato in Hebrew, discuss different flavors and toppings. This session meets at SCREME Gelato, 94th and Amsterdam (rain location 76th Street & Broadway).

8/19 CAFE ROMA

Learn how to order pizza in Hebrew, discuss toppings and tastes. This session meets at CAFE ROMA PIZZA, 102nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue.

8/26 DELI KASBAH

Learn how to read a dinner menu and place your order with a Hebrew speaking waiter. Includes your choice of main dish, sides and dessert from pre-fixe Hebrew menu. This session takes place at Deli Kasbah, 85th Street between Broadway and Columbus.
