In her new book, The Many Lives of Michael Bloomberg Randolph offers a revealing portrait of one of the most influential, wealthy, and private public figures in the country. Randolph traces Bloomberg's path from his modest Jewish working-class upbringing in Massachusetts to Wall Street, where Bloomberg was first a young hot shot at Salomon Brothers, and then in 1982 began creating the Bloomberg Terminal, a financial data machine that would revolutionize trading worldwide and make him one of the richest men in the world.
