A unique symposium that brings together multiple streams of music research and knowledge, Convergence is not only a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, but also an opportunity for collaboration. Neuroscientists, psychologists, cognitive scientists, musicologists, ethnomusicologists, composers, performers, and music therapists will participate in a series of panel discussions, moderated by music researchers from the Temporal Dynamics of Learning Center. This multidisciplinary dialogue will extend into an evening poster session.
Featured Panelists include David Borgo, Donna Conaty, Diana Deutsch, David Harnish, Dane Harwood, Carl Hermanns, Layne Kalbfleisch, Lei Liang, Andy McGraw, Gwendolyn McGraw, Gabriella Mussachia, Roger Reynolds, Katharina Rosenberger, Michael Thaut, Concetta Tomaino and Mark Tramo.

Poster/Demo Session Instructions: If you would like to present a poster or computer demo, please fill out Poster/Demo Presentation Request in the registration and include a summary or abstract. We will review each submission and inform presenters of their acceptance. A separate email will be sent with acceptance, set up information, and instructions. You will then be asked to register as a Poster/Demo Presenter.
Conrad Prebys Music Center is across from the Gilman parking structure and Pepper Canyon Hall. Look for signage along the way!
Gilman Parking Garage: Large parking structure at the corner of Gilman Drive and La Jolla Village Drive. Parking on campus is FREE in all 'S', 'B', 'V' spaces on the weekends.
