Event description

Description

The Virginia Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program (VEHDIP) and the Center for Family Involvement at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) have partnered to bring the following program to parent leaders and professionals.

Have you ever wondered what the best message is to give to parents to encourage them to follow-up when their child has failed the newborn hearing screen? Following identification of a hearing loss, how do you best guide parents as they explore options for communication or intervention? Do you realize the impact of infant hearing loss on a child’s social and emotional development?

For answers to these questions and more, attend the Continuity of Care Meeting on April 9, 2018 at the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association in Glen Allen.
