Context Awareness - Bringing Relevance to Apps
Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PST)
Palo Alto, CA
The continuous drive to relevance and personalization drives context awareness in location based services. Come join the Wireless Communications Alliance and their LBS SIG for their first event of 2013. A number of vertical applications have blossomed over the past few years that have at their core context awareness: the discovery of places, persons and events in the local environment. This event will explore a variety of different vertical application markets within context awareness; from medical, to social, to the emergency services.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It helps if you do, because we use optical scanners to help speed up check-in process. We prefer that you use the paperless option: download the Eventbrite app (iOS or Android) to display your ticket electronically.
What is the refund policy?
You may request a refund any time before 9:00pm PST/PDT on the day before the event. Afterwards, no refunds.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Our venue hosts have security processes that require them to collect the name, company, and citizenship of anyone who enters their building. We collect this information on their behalf. You may request the transfer of a ticket up until 9:00pm PST/PDT on the day before the event. Afterwards, another person may use the ticket as payment, but they must register at the door.
What forms of payment do you accept at the door?
Cash or PayPal, no checks please.
