About this event

Session Details: Get the latest on the collaborative effort to launch Container-on-Vessel (COV) service to the Midwest. This panel will include an update on the status of the overall project and the patented new vessels that will deliver the service, creating a new shipping alternative with tremendous benefits for shippers. Attendees will also hear from the developer of the new COV port facility in Herculaneum, Missouri, who will provide the latest milestones related to the new facility, while also giving an update on the other Midwest ports that will be part of this new, all-water, north-south trade lane connecting to the lower Mississippi River and on to worldwide destinations. The discussion also will feature representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard and Center for Maritime Education who will give an overview of the work underway to prepare for the debut of the innovative new service.
