A Half-Day Workshop

With Margaret Roach and Bob Hyland

SUNDAY MAY 20, at Margaret's garden in Copake Falls, NY

Rain or Shine

(UPDATE 5/14: morning AND afternoon sessions were sold out, but since forecast is for fair weather/outdoor classroom, we're adding a few people per session.)

Session 1: 9:30 am-12 noon

Session 2: 1:30 pm-4:00 pm

Fee: $45 (includes beverages and snack)

"Contained Exuberance" is a hands-on workshop to help you design and plant your containers/pots for the season. Learn how to select pots (terracotta, earthenware, concrete, cast iron, polyethylene, and a host of lightweight resin and fiber pots) that fit your lifestyle and marry a wide range of plants to your containers.

We'll cover:

  • design
  • turning other vessels into pots
  • what makes a good potting soil?
  • feeding, watering and other care
  • midseason tuneups for long-lasting impact
  • beyond "annuals" -- everything goes!
  • scavenging in the garden for container subjects
  • staging of pot groupings

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INFO WILL BE EMAILED TO ALL REGISTRANTS A WEEK BEFOREHAND.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Credit-card refunds up until Sunday, May 6. No credit-card refunds later than 2 weeks before the event; for cancellations after that, we will try strenuously to fill your spot from the waitlist, and if we can we will credit you for a future workshop of your choice. Thank you.

WAITLIST INFO: Once the sessions are full, you can be put on the waitlist by ordering a waitlist ticket (no credit card will be charged at that time). We will contact you with further details.
