MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities is pleased to welcome the CEO of Consumers Energy, Patti Poppe, as she presents "Clean and Lean: People, Planet and Prosperity."

Patti is one of only two female CEOs of Fortune 500 companies based in Michigan. Come hear her speak about:

  • Her experience as an engineer who has advanced through the ranks of the auto industry and utility industry to become only one of 32 females CEOs of Fortune 500 companies in the United States.
  • How the utility industry is evolving toward a clean and lean presence in society.
  • The value of diversity in the workplace.
  • The innovative technologies being employed by Consumers Energy to be an industry leader in the environmental stewardship space.

Intended audience: Students majoring in engineering, business, HR or sustainability-related fields; and any interested faculty and staff.

This event is free but registration is required. Free parking will also be available in the Kellogg Center ramp; please be sustainable and ride with others attending or consider walking or biking! Light refreshments will be served at 10 a.m. and the presentation starts at 10:30 a.m. There will be Q&A as well.
