Event description

Description

This workshop will equip you with mindsets and specific skills to manage inevitable, everyday conflicts throughout your work. You will learn how to work together to develop lasting solutions in potentially tense situations, and do so in ways that can enhance, rather than damage important professional relationships. The training will explore how to communicate and work together to make decisions in the face of divergent points of view. You will also gain insights about how to find resolution in many situations and when interacting with people who are not necessarily aware of good conflict management techniques. The training is interactive and includes opportunities to experiment with new ideas in the training room and on the job.

Outcomes:

  • Understand the nature of conflict and how to break out of conflict cycles
  • Demonstrate how to begin a potentially difficult conversation
  • Practice techniques for uncovering interests and working towards agreements

Who will benefit:

  • Current and emerging leaders with little or no prior training or experience in managing others
  • Employees seeking to build skills for collaborating and working through conflict with others
  • HR professionals and organizational leaders looking to develop or enhance workplace culture and relationships
