Event description
An interactive workshop on southeastern Indigenous methods of consensus decision making.

About this event

We know that decolonized leadership involves the elimination of the hierarchy and the practice of true consensus decision making. But what does a true consensus process even entail?

This Consensus Decision Making workshop is one method rooted in southeastern Native traditions. It's a hands-on workshop that will teach a very specific strategy of shared leadership - quite the opposite of the hierarchical model of leadership within the theatre and many other industries. Participants will learn the structure and immediately practice this consensus decision-making practice.

Each workshop is capped intentionally as participation is required. This is not a workshop to observe and passively participate. Please be prepared to speak with your video on as you are able.

For the May 18th workshop, the window to request ASL and/or live captioning closes on Tuesday, May 11th at 5pm ET

For the May 23rd workshop, the window to request ASL and/or live captioning closes on Friday, May 14th at 5pm ET

For the May 27th workshop, the window to request ASL and/or live captioning closes on Tuesday, May 18th at 5pm ET
