Event description
This experiential workshop sets out a toolkit that leaders at all levels can use to truly motivate, inspire, and unleash their teams.

About this Event

Being a great leader—whether you head up a small team or sit on the board of a multinational business—means figuring out how to get the very best out of your people.

Achieving this goal is about much more than traditional employee incentives—a generous salary buys an individual’s time, but not their enthusiasm, creativity, or innovation. To truly unleash the potential within your team, it’s important to understand what drives the individuals within it.

Because a team is not a collection of job titles and skillsets, but of people. Individuals with unique thoughts, beliefs, emotions, personalities, experiences, perceptions, desires, and fears. But this very humanness that unites each and every one of us is often overlooked—even actively discouraged—in the workplace.

Enabling your people to show up to work as their best selves each day means cultivating an environment of trust, psychological safety, and belonging. It means building a team others actively want to be a part of. A safe place where they can speak up, ask questions, take healthy risks, share half-formed ideas, give honest feedback, and think beyond their skillset.

These kinds of high-trust, Conscious Cultures don’t just make work a nicer place to be, they dramatically improve the performance of the companies that cultivate them. In fact, a Harvard study comprising over 200 companies found that high-trust cultures increased net income by an average of 756% over an 11-year period.

Based on cutting-edge neuroscience, psycho-social theory, and decades of research showing that employees of companies with high-trust cultures are substantially more productive and innovative, have more energy, are more loyal, collaborate more effectively, suffer less stress, and are healthier, happier, and more motivated than employees working at low-trust companies, this experiential workshop sets out a toolkit that leaders across all levels of the business can use to truly motivate, inspire, and unleash their teams.

In order to excel in a complex, ever-changing, dynamic marketplace, it’s absolutely fundamental to the success of every company and every team to cultivate an environment that gets the best out of its single greatest asset: its people.

Conscious Culture provides the key to doing just that. And where most leaders only ever scratch the surface of what their people are capable of, conscious leaders are able to go so much deeper, harnessing a level of performance that can quite literally change a company’s fortunes for good.

Meet the facilitator:

Ashley Mielke works with leaders at all levels to cultivate high-performance Conscious Cultures, helping them to inspire, motivate, and engage their people for sustainable success and long-term profitability. And as the Founder and Director of People and Culture at The Grief and Trauma Healing Centre Inc., Ashley puts these very same principles into practice with her own team each and every day.

Drawing on nearly a decade of clinical experience as a practicing psychologist, Ashley offers valuable insight into the science of employee performance, utilizing cutting-edge research to help shed new light on the connection between high-trust cultures and highly-engaged, productive staff who are less stressed, more energized, and more loyal.
