DANA L. WILEY GALLERY FUND A COMPONENT FUND OF THE DAYTON FOUNDATION PRESENTS CONNECTIONS: MOMENTS OF CLARITY CLOSING NIGHT EVENT
About this event
The Dana L. Wiley Gallery presents Connections: Moments of Clarity, bringing together Dayton area artists and residents in memory care facilities to create watercolor paintings that spark connection and moments of clarity for persons living with Alzheimer’s or related dementia, and enable families in our community to find connections and moments of clarity with their loved ones.
For this exhibition, The Dana L. Wiley Gallery has curated the creative expressions of over 20 memory care residents, pairing them with artists who have created an interpretation of their resident’s painting, working with the same 8” x 8” format in the medium of their choice. These pairings will be put into VIRTUAL SILENT AUCTION on May 14th and will culminate in a ticketed Closing Night Event.Closing Night Event.
The Dana L. Wiley Gallery will place the paired works of Connections: Moments of Clarity into a Virtual Silent Auction at a ticketed Closing Night Event, honoring the power and possibilities of creative care. Ticket holders can view the works of both exhibitions, talk with some of the artists and enjoy special food and drinks while keeping an eye on their silent auction bids.
The gallery is honored to have SARA WOODHULL as our emcee for the evening. A native Daytonian, Sara Woodhull was appointed to the Dayton Metro Library Board of Trustees in 2021.
