Description: Please register for FREE for this workshop provided through collaboration between MESA, Hope’s Voice, Voices United, and supported through the generous space donation by Vincennes University. Workshop will focus on connecting prevention of sexual violence and other forms of violence to ending food insecurity, with an emphasis on addressing these issues in marginalized and underserved communities. Some of the content we will cover include:

  • ​Understanding risk and protective factors for sexual violence and food insecurity in underserved communities
  • Connecting risk and protective factors across various forms of violence and violence across the lifespan
  • Gain a deeper understanding about how sexual violence disproportionately and uniquely impact marginalized and underserved communities
  • Develop skills for working with youth & adults to prevent sexual violence, child abuse, food insecurity, and other forms of interpersonal violence​
  • Learn how oppression and sexual violence prevention are interconnected
