Connecting People and Food at Home, Clinics and Neighborhoods
Event Information
About this Event
Please join us at our inaugural event of our Humana Foundation Partner Symposium Series, and hear how our Strategic Community Investment Partners are working together to achieve greater health equity in communities across the country.
In this first session, experts will share how they are improving the food security of marginalized populations through innovative food bank partnerships in new settings - at home, in clinics, and across neighborhoods. Learn how Feeding Tampa Bay and the Community Health Centers of Pinellas a clinic-based food pharmacy to support food insecure patients with diet-related disease, how the San Antonio Food Bank is literally meeting seniors where they are, in their homes, to address food security and social isolation, and how the Health-Smart Holistic Health and Wellness program is partnering with Feeding Northeast Florida and area farmers to connect low-income Jacksonville seniors with resources through their church.
We look forward to you joining our conversation and hearing more about how The Humana Foundation is partnering with these organizations to co-create communities where leadership, culture and systems work to improve and sustain positive health outcomes.
