Learn about immigrant rights, and how you can get involved!

This event is intended for anyone who is interested in learning about resources available to immigrants in Maryland, becoming a volunteer, and connecting with fantastic organizations that need your help.

More information about this year's keynote and hot topics coming soon!

The agenda includes:

4:00pm-5:00pm - Keynote presentation: Why are people coming to the U.S.? Matthew Peters from ChesMRC will speak about the current and historical migration trends of those from Central America, especially from Guatemala, and some historical context and generalized reasons behind the migration trend.

5:00pm-6:00pm - Networking Event: Meet organizations that serve immigrants and need your help!

6:00pm-7:00pm - Breakouts on Hot Topics

Breakout #1: Myths, Facts, and Resources about Family Safety/Contingency Planning for Immigrant Parents by the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland's Maryland Immigrant Legal Assistance Project.
