About This Performance

One of music’s greatest anti-war statements, Britten’s masterpiece poignantly combines the moving WWI poetry of Wilfred Owen with the Catholic Mass for the Dead. This tour de force will be brought to life by over 400 young musicians from around the Southland, led by Britten advocate James Conlon.

James Conlon will present a pre-concert lecture at 7:00pm in BP Hall.
