Description

Conflict is typically seen as something infrequent and negative, but it is consistently present in our lives to varying degrees. This interactive workshop focuses on improving participants' comfort with conflict and confidence in their ability to manage it. The concepts covered include: What conflict is and is not; Conflict in organizations; Causes and outcomes of conflict; Constructive and destructive conflict; Conflict styles; and, Conflict resolution and negotiating in an integrative style. Lay Leaders and Clergy-please join us.

Workshop facilitator profile: Dr Stuart Allen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership at Robert Morris University. Stuart started his career as an industrial/organizational psychologist and practiced for 10 years in this profession before becoming a full-time academic. He also work for 5 years as
the CEO of a nonprofit organization. Stuart has worked with organizational leaders from various industries and has consulted on issues related to change, conflict resolution, organizational development, leadership coaching, and leadership and team development. Stuart teaches conflict resolution, leadership, and related topics. He is an active researcher and author in leadership.

Registration for workshop is free and is on line at Eventbrite. Lunch registration is $ 10.00 per paid paid in advance. Two tickets type are availble, Conflict Resolution workshop ONLY and Workshop and Lunch.

Optional lunch is also available with a fee of $ 10.00 per person. Separate registration is required for lunch. If attending the workshop and lunch you must register for both events.
