Event description

Description

Sometimes it’s easy to love one another, sometimes it is hard—especially in the midst of conflict. Conflict happens whenever people gather and have opinions and passions. Conflict can be small, manageable, productive and even transformative when handled well.

The Diocese of Central New York is offering a Conflict Resolution Skills class around our diocese* this winter and early spring. This class will be led by The Rev. Canon Carrie Schofield-Broadbent, our diocesan Canon for Transitions and Church Development. This class will be two hours filled with practical information, tools, and skills for dealing with conflict in our parishes and beyond. We encourage lay leaders, parishioners, clergy and staff members to join us for one of these events. Pick the date, time and place that work best for you!

Jesus said, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

*The 2/6 and 2/7 classes will be held at the Diocesan Office Annex in Liverpool and offer the option of attending the class remotely as a webinar.
