Event description

Description

The Alliance of Concerned Men (ACM) and the MA International Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) program at American University collaborated in order to create a Conflict Resolution Manual with the help of Shlonsky Memorial Fund. This train-the-trainer manual is intended to be used as a tool to facilitate violence prevention workshops aimed at empowering youth to become agents of change in their communities. It is the hope of the authors that the collaboration between ACM and IPCR will continue to grow, and that this manual will, in a small way, contribute to efforts to more effectively address youth violence.

ACM and IPCR are hosting an official launch of the manual in the Abramson Family Founders Room at American University, School of International Service on April 29, 2019, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This launch will feature a panel discussion with experts in youth violence prevention. The panelists will be announced shortly. Refreshments will be provided for attendees after the panel discussion.

If you have any questions or concerns please free to contact ACM by email info@acmdc.org or phone (202) 847-9386.
