Event description

For our July 2018 Mississippi PowerShell User Group virtual meeting, Microsoft MVP Missy Januszko will be presenting “Configuring Active Directory Certificate Services for DSC Credential Encryption” on Tuesday, July 10th at 8:30pm central time.

At times it is necessary to specify alternate credentials in DSC Configurations. Encryption is an absolute must for protecting these credentials in any production environment. Encrypting credentials in PowerShell DSC Configurations requires a PKI infrastructure that issues document encryption certificates.
Join the co-author of “The DSC Book” and PowerShell MVP Missy Januszko at the Mississippi PowerShell User Group webcast and learn how to configure a PKI infrastructure for your DSC needs, reasons why you want a PKI, how to set up a two-tier PKI, and how to configure the PKI to issue document encryption certificates – all using DSC.

Missy Januszko is a Senior Automation Engineer who has been in IT nearly half her life. She has a wide range of experiences including automation and workflow development, private cloud hosting architect, and large-scale infrastructure designer. She is co-author of “The DSC Book” with Don Jones and a Microsoft Cloud and Datacenter MVP.

The Mississippi PowerShell User Group Meetings are typically held online (via Skype for Business) on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30pm Central Time and are free to attend.

The system requirements to attend these online meetings can be found on the MSPSUG website under the “Attendee Info” section.
