Build the skills necessary to form and lead a strong, cohesive therapy group.


In this series you will learn about:

  • The various options you have for group leadership format: psychoed, process, hybrid, short or long term

  • Fostering referral sources for your groups so that your groups remain full and marketing easy

  • Insider tips for forming and leading a new group so that clients enter comfortably and heal more quickly

  • Developing a group agreement to minimize absences, drop-outs and enhance cohesion

Part I: Feb. 23, 2019 Starting a therapy group: essentials for success

Part II: April 27, 2019 Leading groups in a specialty area: psychoed

Part III: July 13, 2019 Monopolizing, absenteeism, and group leader challenges

Part IV: Oct 19, 2019 Sustaining a strong therapy group

All courses: Saturdays: 9:15-4:30 P.M. Four part series: 20 Continuing Education credits. Each course 5 CEs.

Students/Interns: Certificate of completion of group therapy training.

Fees: $350 for entire series (Licensed PhD, PsyD, MFT, LPCC, LCSW); $100 per individual course.

$250 for entire series (Students/Interns), which includes a certificate of completion for group therapy training; $75 per indivudual course.
